[MEST] Joshua1 StudyGuide

[MEST] Joshua 1
Study Guide

Promises > Joshua chapter 1 is all about fullfiling God's promises.
Joshua had the tough job of filling Moses' shoes.
It was all well and good relying on God's word, but Joshua and the Irealites had to ACT. It was a physical thing, they had to step out and put that FAITH into ACTION.

Is there anything in your life that you need to ACT on?

Anything you need to stop thinking about and actually DO something about?

[COMMITMENT]

Take this time to think of area(s) in your life that you need to change or improve.
Leave them at the cross.

[READ] Joshua 1 >

The ONLY request God has in order to keep His promise to the Isrealites, is to think about the book of law day and night. Why do you think this was important?

Joshua had spent 56 years as a slave in Egypt and then 40 years roaming around the desert. He was FINALLY coming to a place he could call home. How do you think he felt about this? What places feel like home to you?

[GROUP DISCUSSION]

Can you think of any other promises made by God?

What do these mean to you in 2009?
